Teaching System

Iyengar Yoga Institutes are numbered in the hundreds and the Iyengar yoga system is taught in more than forty countries around the world, with a large dedicated group of teachers and students here in the UK.

There is a worldwide system of teacher certification, graded from Introductory to Advanced. The Iyengar Yoga Association (UK) is responsible for awarding teaching certificates and ensuring that standards are maintained.

The Iyengar method is recognised as valid by education authorities in the UK.
